1. About Us

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Knight In Shining Armour Cleaning Co.
(“we”, “us”, “our”).
By booking our services, you (“the customer”) agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Quotations & Scope of Work

All quotations are based on the information provided at the time of booking.
Final pricing is confirmed upon inspection. If the condition, size, or requirements differ
from those originally described, we will discuss any revised cost before commencing
work.

No additional work will be carried out without your agreement.

3. Booking, Access & Customer Responsibilities

The customer agrees to:

 

• Provide safe and reasonable access to the property

• Ensure areas to be cleaned are accessible and free from obstruction where possible

• Provide access to water and electricity if required

• Any known issues must be disclosed in advance, including:

• Pre-existing damage

• Previous cleaning attempts

• Stains or spillages

• ​

Failure to provide accurate information may affect results and final pricing.

 

4. Cancellations & Rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule your appointment by providing at least 24 hours’ notice.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments where
access is not provided, may be subject to a reasonable cancellation or call-out fee.

 

5. Service Standards (Your Legal Rights)

We will carry out all services:

With reasonable care and skill in accordance with accepted professional standards.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

 

6. Results & Limitations of Cleaning

Cleaning results will vary depending on:

• Fibre and material type

• Condition and level of soiling

• Nature of stains or contamination

​

We do not guarantee the complete removal of all stains.

In some cases, carpets or upholstery may continue to appear discoloured or wornfollowing cleaning. This may be due to:

​

• Permanent staining

• Dye loss

• Wear or micro-abrasion (fibre damage caused by embedded grit)

​

Such conditions are not correctable through cleaning alone.

 

7. Pre-Existing Conditions & Risk Acceptance

Where materials are worn, weakened, or previously treated, there is an increased risk of:
 

• Colour loss

• Texture change

• Shrinkage or distortion

We will take reasonable care and advise of any identified risks before starting work where possible.

By proceeding, you acknowledge that outcomes cannot be guaranteed where pre-existing conditions are present.

 

8. Liability

We are responsible for loss or damage caused by our failure to use reasonable careand skill.

However:

We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear, or defects.

We are not liable for issues arising from previous treatments or cleaning methods.

Where we are found liable, our liability shall be limited to the reasonable cost of remedying the issue, up to a maximum of the price paid for the service, except where the law requires otherwise.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for:

Death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Any matter which cannot be limited or excluded under UK law.

 

9. Drying Times

Drying times are estimates only and depend on environmental factors such as airflow, humidity, and temperature.

We are not responsible for extended drying times outside our control.

 

10. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We reserve the right to:

Charge statutory interest on overdue payments
Recover reasonable costs incurred in collecting outstanding balances

 

11. Complaints & Rectification

If you are dissatisfied with the service, you must notify us within 48 hours of completion.

We will be given the opportunity to inspect and, where appropriate, rectify any issues.

Failure to report concerns within this timeframe may affect our ability to investigate or resolve the matter.

 

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
